Integrating Modelling of Maintenance Policies within a Stochastic Hybrid Automaton Framework of Dynamic Reliability

The dependability assessment is a crucial activity for determining the availability, safety and maintainability of system establishing best mitigation measures to prevent serious flaws process interruptions. One most promising methodologies analysis complex systems Dynamic Reliability (also known as DPRA) with models that define explicitly interactions between components variables. Among mathematical techniques DPRA, Stochastic Hybrid Automaton (SHA) has been used model characterized by continuous discrete Recently, DPRA-oriented SHA modelling formalism, Fault Tree (SHyFTA), formalized together software library (SHyFTOO) simplifies resolution models. At state art, SHyFTOO allows analyzing multistate repairable reactive maintenance policy. Exploiting flexibility SHyFTA, this paper aims extend tools’ functionalities other well-known policies. To achieve goal, main features preventive, risk-based condition-based policies will be analyzed design integrate into SHyFTOO. Finally, case study test compare results different illustrated.
